On two different grids, each was missing one of the words/phrases. After spending too much time searching for them I gave up and looked for the answer in the back. To no surprise, the words/phrases I could not find were not in the answer grid either! That was frustrating but not as frustrating as the words/phrases and grid near the end of the book. Not one of them could be found in the grid. The answer grid did not match at all. Whoever proofed this book did a very poor job. I would like to recommend the book but can’t.
Misspellings in some of the words we are meant to find. Some of the grids are using a small font that is tedious and not fun to do. Also, I looked for the word Mississippi in one of the grids for about 20 minutes thinking okay, what am I missing? I couldn't find it and it wasn't in the answer page either! Several other grids had mistakes in them in that the words weren't always in the same puzzle. Then towards the back of the book NONE of the words could be found. It's like nobody proofread this and they put the wrong word list with a totally different puzzle grid. Wouldn't buy from this publisher again. Oh, well.
I love these type of books. They keep your mind working and that is what we all need as we grow older. I'm over 70 and laugh when people think that 50 is old. The more you keep that mind working, you'll never grow old.
Likes: it’s typical Brain Games quality paper and binder. Dislikes: This book is full of Nobel prize winner names, words I have never seen before, presidents dog names, acronyms and a few others. I hate it! Most likely will throw this book in the trash.
Thoroughly enjoying this word search. After suffering a severe concussion, this is just what the doctor ordered to jump start my brain!Highly recommend.
My dad is 95-yrs-old and loves doing puzzles … word search, crosswords, jumble words, sudoku, etc. … He does them all! Throughout the year he gets the general store variety but for Christmas I got him a few "specialty" books. This was one that I got him and he's enjoying it. I like that it is spiral bound, too.
Each page is exactly the same with the only exception being the words and letters. No creativity...just up, down, horizontal. Page after page. Pretty boring!
