This book is misnamed. It should have been titled "Making Walls Your Own", because the majority of photos are of one wall or one corner. The New York Social Diary should be ashamed, the editor should be tarred and feathered, the Rizzoli publishers should be sanctioned. The purchaser gets no sense of place, no perspective, no feeling of how everything comes together to create an ambience conducive to pleasure. Isn't that what interior design is all about? If not, why bother?
